Doolittle's office responds

Amazingly, I just got off the phone with Chris Parilo from Congressman Doolittle's office (786-5560). He is now taking over the investigation from Daniel. He requested that we use him as the point person for the WAPA issue.

He told me that there is an open investigation in process. Currently, someone from the WAPA district office is in the local office investigating onsite, and will be getting back to Chris with an action plan for mitigation. Chris was skeptical that the pole could be removed, but he totally understood how this would be the preferred outcome. He told me he's looking forward to seeing the mitigation plan, and he understands that even with a paint job and some plants, it would never really be satisfactory (although we may have to live with it, of course). He was also really clear about getting them to understand that this sort of stealth behavior and lack of sensitivity to the community is totally unacceptable.

He said he would get back to me as things develop. Stay tuned....
